SASUSU Radio inviterer til radioprogram Verdens ende #6 med Godfrey Manoharan.

Vi åpner den 2. utgaven av utstillingen Verdens ende under Arctic Moving Image & Film Festival 2023 (AMIFF) i Harstad. Vi ønsker alle velkommen til utstilling, te-drikking og radiosending.

I radioprogrammet Verdens ende #6 fortsetter vi diskusjonen om det norske ansvaret under krigen på Sri Lanka, som også har vært tema tidligere på radioen. Vi tar nå for oss siste del i kampene som fant sted i Tamil Eelam med aktivist og vår egen tamilske kokk i Harstad, Godfrey Manoharan. Manoharan deltok i krigen gjennom politisk arbeid i Norge og for Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) og ble en frontfigur for demonstrasjonene som fant sted i Norge i 2009.

Godfrey Manoharan er tamilsk aktivist, kokk, og tekstforfatter for artisten Steven Manoharan. Manoharan var talsmann for tamilere i Norge som demonstrerte i sluttfasen av det srilankiske folkemordet i 2009. Gjennom hans tamilske pop-up matkonsept i Bergen, hvor tamilsk mat blir servert i bergenske hjem, jobber Manoharan for å finansiere opprettelsen av både en tamilsk restaurant i Norge og en krydderfabrikk i Tamil Eelam.

SASUSU Radio invites to the radio show The End of the World #6 with Godfrey Manoharan.

We open the second edition of the exhibition The End of the World during Arctic Moving Image & Film Festival 2023 (AMIFF) in Harstad. We wish everyone welcome to the exhibition, tea-drinking and radio show. In the radio show The End of the World #6 we continue the discussion around the Norwegian responsibility during the war in Sri Lanka, by taking a closer look at the final stages of the war, which took place in Tamil Eelam, with Godfrey Manoharan. Manoharan participated in the war through political work in Norway and for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and was the front figure in the demonstrations in Norway in 2009. 

Live radio DJ: Midorī

Midorī is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tromsø with roots from northern Japan and India. She explores the relationship between body work, defamiliarisation, and an ambiguous presentation of time through visuals, performance and sound. Taking on character play floating amidst living and inanimate objects. Part of SASUSU Radio since 2022, she will explore the concept of Verdens ende through hauntological collages of drone, noise and field recordings, exploring a post capitalist soundscape.
